Job Description

This is a 3 month rolling contract.

Location: 1 Aldgate, EC3N 1RE

Job Purpose:

  • Support the Lloyd’s Syndicate Reporting Team to ensure the accurate and timely production of all Lloyd’s Syndicate Reporting;
  • Support the Lloyd’s Syndicate Reporting Manager in maintaining compliance and ensuring the production of all Syndicate accounting reports in line with regulatory requirements;

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of Lloyds Reports;

  • Support the syndicate reporting team in line with Lloyds reporting timetable;
  • Support the preparation of GQD, QMA, QMB, PMDr, Trust Funds, TRIA, NAIC, US SIS, CAN SIS and DD returns for GAAP, signed and Forecast results for submission to Lloyds;
  • Support and Reconciliation technical accounts and non-technical accounts;
  • Support the analysis of quarterly syndicate underwriting results;
  • Support the analytical review and commentary of business performance and position by class for management;

Ensure Lloyd’s Syndicate Reporting is compliant;

  • Support the assessment and changes to the reporting processes where required;

Support the Lloyd’s Syndicate Reporting Team

  • Work closely with the Syndicate Accountant;
  • Provide support to and knowledge sharing within the team;
  • Use a collaborative approach when working with others;
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and ‘end to end process’ thinking;

Other ad-hoc tasks as necessary

  • Support the Lloyds Reporting Manager and wider Finance department on process improvements;

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Specification:


  • Advanced Excel;
  • Insurance Accounting Experience;
  • Experience in practical accounting;
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and decision making;
  • Knowledge of the London Insurance Market from both a Lloyd’s and Company Market perspective;
  • Strong people and communication skills;
  • Solution focused;


  • Experience of producing financial reports to team and management;
  • Utilising multiple underwriting systems: Genius, Eclipse, & IRIS;
  • General Ledger: PeopleSoft;

  • Professional approach and delivery of work product;
  • Energy, enthusiasm, persistence and adaptability;
  • Focus on timely delivery of quality outputs;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
