Job Description

Tokio Marine HCC – Medical Insurance Services (MIS) Group has an opening for an Associate Sales Representative in their Indianapolis, IN office. This position offers a 40-hour work week, with a schedule of 8-5pm M-F.

Under immediate supervision, serves as a contact for all multinational consumer-related products. The Associate Sales Representative will be responsible for handling customer purchases/inquiries promptly and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines, the Associate Sales Representative is responsible for accomplishing the following as guided by others. These assignments are routine in nature.

  • Sells directly to consumers by phone.
  • Some “cold calling” for new clients while in an office setting, and some outside sales, which involves visiting large clients in the field with new or existing clients.
  • Assist with planning and execution of all online consumer marketing campaigns (including email, banner advertising, direct mail etc.).
  • Distribute and track all e-mails received from web site. Provide regular reporting to gauge e-marketing effectiveness. Positively initiates new sales distribution and goals monthly.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with retail buyers, educational institutions, and corporations.
  • Achieve specific and reasonable company objectives monthly.
  • Track achievements with documentation in every account.
  • Is open to high levels of direct sales and time management daily.
  • Regularly monitors the TMHCC MIS website and other direct sales outlets.
  • Provide service, support, and training for inbound consumer inquiries.
  • Research opportunities for on-line business referral relationships and sharing of links, etc.
  • Create and manage tracking and business reports
  • Actively research consumer related Internet technology
  • Actively track and test all TMHCC MIS Consumer facing web pages - including copy and graphics and make suggestions for updates and revisions. Ensure consistency in branding between current direct programs and web-site.

Job Requirements

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience
  • Health Insurance Agent’s License a plus, but not required.


  • Up to two years of relevant and progressive professional experience


  • Possess and have ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Good organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment
  • Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
