Position Summary:

Under immediate supervision, performs a variety of primarily routine tasks associated with the maintenance of departmental files, records, and mail distribution. This position is responsible for entering data and reviewing for accuracy and completion.

Key Responsibilities:


Relying on standardized instructions and pre-established guidelines, the Compliance Assistant l is responsible for accomplishing the following as guided by others. These assignments are varied in nature and routine.

  • Perform routine data entry and verification of licensing information.
  • Performs general clerical duties surrounding the licensing application and the agent appointment process.
  • Answer phone and resolve basic inquiries or forward call to appropriate contact for resolution.
  • Maintain licensing files and related documents including creating files, maintaining file logs, and selecting files for departmental personnel.,
  • Maintains licensing system to include agency, agent, licensing and appointment information.
  • Maintains monthly billing information for distribution to managers and accounting
  • Maintains check requests sent to accounting and mailing of accounts payable
  • Perform other general clerical duties such as copying, filing, faxing, scanning, and operating departmental office equipment.  


  • Follow work plans, established timelines, and pre-defined goals for assigned work.
  • Meet commitments on deadlines.


  • Develop strong customer focus and high service level relationship with clients.

Cost Management

  • Perform work thoroughly in a cost efficient manner and at a high productivity level.
  • Utilize company resources effectively.Business Controls and Policies
  •  Comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Take all reasonable steps to safeguard company assets against waste, loss, unauthorized use and misappropriation.
  • Report breakdown in controls to a Supervisor or Manager.

Job Requirements

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent


  • Up to two years of relevant experience


  • Possess and have ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Good organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
