We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Compliance Analyst - Associate in our Corporate Headquarters located in Houston, TX.



Position Summary: 

Under immediate supervision, assists in the ensuring licensing and appointments are aligned with corporate policy guidelines. Prepares the same for filing with state/federal regulators.  



Key Responsibilities: 

Relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines, the Corporate Compliance Analyst - Associate is responsible for accomplishing the following as guided by others. These assignments are routine in nature. 

  • Coordinate licensing and appointments for assigned subsidiaries and affiliated producers.
  • Prepare and file sensitive and confidential data with state and/or federal regulators
  • Manage agency appointment efforts for several insurance company subsidiaries. Monitor to ensure agents have the correct license and are appointed by the correct company.
  • Serve as a resource to employees, officers, and directors of the Company in responding to compliance queries, as well as tracking responses and issues for compliance trends and recordkeeping.
  • Track compliance with state statutes, regulations, bulletins, and Company policies and procedures to ensure adherence to filing and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and generate tracking reports designed to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform other general clerical duties such as copying, filing, faxing, mailing, scanning, answering phones, and operating departmental office equipment as required.

Job Requirements

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements: 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience 

Experience

  • Up to two years of relevant and progressive professional experience

Other

  • Possess and have ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Good organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment
  • Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities
  • May require travel outside normal work location
