We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Systems Project Manager in our Corporate Headquarters located in Houston, TX. This role executes project management, facilitates and coordinates the testing processes and manages and delivers the training plan for the projects and systems managed by the Corporate Financial Systems team.  This pertains to PeopleSoft Financials, MicroStrategy Reporting and Esker A/P invoice automation and any other systems that will come into the responsibility of this team.   

The position carries out responsibilities in the following key areas:

  • Project Management: Manage projects involving multiple department or cross-functional teams, focusing on both successful integration of technology or implementation of new IT solutions. Liaise with Internal Audit for successful review of project methodology execution.
  • Testing Coordination: Facilitate and coordinate the testing plans, processes and documentation for all projects.
  • Training: Develop and execute an enterprise level training plan to ensure successful adoption and continued development of user community skills to promote efficiency.

Job Requirements



Qualifications:

  • Experience: Ideally, the successful candidate will have 2-4 years of relevant Project Management experience with a focus on project implementation and training. Financial Systems experience preferred
    • Ability to build trust and relationships on an enterprise level is essential
    • Optimization of work processes. Knows the most effective and efficient methods to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
    • Understanding and experience of customer service approach
    • Flexibility and a willingness to learn
    • Sound analytical skills, as well as strong decision-making and problem-solving aptitude
  • Communication: Must be an exceptional communicator and able to make connections across the organization while working with employees and managers in multiple locations
  • Educational and skills requirements: 
    • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience. A concentration in Accounting considered very helpful
    • Experience developing and delivering training on Financial / Accounting Systems
  • Overtime hours may be required
  • Will require travel outside normal work location
