We have an exciting opportunity for a HRIS Analyst in our Corporate Headquarters located in Houston, TX. 

Position Summary: 

Under supervision, provides a wide variety of system maintenance, enhancement, auditing, reporting, training and internal user support of the HRIS.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Relying on limited experience and knowledge, the HRIS Analyst is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments.  These assignments are varied in nature. 

  • Apply Human Resources and systems knowledge to recommend HRIS processes that align with company and HR Department objectives.
  • Assist with coordination of testing and implementation of all system upgrades and enhancements
  • Provide and assist with the coordination of user training and assistance for team members and end users.
  • Coordinate with internal clients on required monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports.
  • Maintain and develop intermediate/ad-hoc PS Query and XML Publisher reports based on report requests,
  • Maintain and distribute management reports and provide analysis and interpretation if required.
  • Provide system support for all PeopleSoft HCM modules.
  • Review HCM footprints tickets, update and follow up where necessary.
  • Partner with other PeopleSoft personnel to ensure process efficiencies, especially with regards to Active Directory and Security.
  • Oversee the standard HRIS set up, for example, job codes, work schedules, etc.
  • Acts as the backup for the Absence Management and Time and Labor Administrator role, and the running of any routine processes.
  • Perform audits to ensure accuracy of database information and analyze existing reports and processes in order to make recommendations for improvements.
  • Documents standard processes and procedures, including user guides and training materials.

Job Requirements

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience


  • Minimum of two years of relevant and progressive professional experience
  • Minimum of two years of HRIS or professional business reporting experience, preferably in PeopleSoft


  • Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities
  • May require travel outside normal work location
