Position Summary:

 Under general supervision, responsible for all aspects of marketing campaigns produced internally and externally to acquire and retain policyholders, assists in the coordination of industry events, including but not limited to tradeshows, speaking engagements, seminar participation, and special events. Coordinates print and electronic advertising strategies and placements, social media coordination and website oversight. Assists department manager in overall department organization and operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 Relying on experience and judgement, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature

 

  • Oversee updates and changes made to company website including search engine optimization and pay per click advertising. Manage relationship with external website vendor.
  • Manage all social media platforms including the creation and posting of content, review of comments and records management.
  • Manage print and electronic advertising projects through completion, including coordinating copy and concept changes, ordering artwork to meet specs, managing outsource vendor for ad print and electronic media management and placements. Act as direct liaison for all media contacts internally.
  • Create, and oversee customer and prospect email templates in underwriting portal and enterprise email marketing tools (e.g., iPost).
  • Maintains integrity of contact database.
  • Directly interfaces with vendors to assure all scheduled mailings/e-mailings have necessary data elements, fields etc., are accurate, meet established quality standards, are within budget for production and postage and mail/email on time.
  • Assist in the coordination/planning of industry events including planning and preparation, visual displays, materials and onsite promotions, marketing, scheduling and coordination of seminars and other appearances by company. Also arrange travel, transportation and lodging for field staff. May travel to select shows.
  • Assist with the partner program relationship campaigns including telephone interaction with partners.
  • Track and process monthly invoices/expenses into department budget and PeopleSoft.
  • Represent department in the planning, coordination and, in some cases, management of internal employee events and communications.
  • Assist department Marketing Director in department organization, operations and structure including development and documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements



Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

 Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience

 

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of relevant and progressive professional experience, preferably in a brand-oriented direct response marketing environment.
  • Experience using graphics software programs: InDesign, Illustrator and Photo Shop and other related creative software programs, a plus.

 

Other

  • Advanced organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and coordinate a high volume of diverse projects to meet deadlines.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
