We have an exciting opportunity for an Senior IT Security Analyst  in our Corporate Headquarters located in Houston, TX.

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

Key Responsibilities: 

Relying on experience and judgment, the Senior IT Security Analyst is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are broad in nature and work can be difficult. 

  • Use knowledge of security policies, standards, and procedures to help design secure architectures for systems and applications.
  • Research, design, recommend, and implement security monitoring of information assets.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement corrective actions in response to security violations.
  • Perform security assessments to determine vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
  • Identify and communicate potential threats to information assets.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to protect information assets.
  • Research, develop, and document security architecture requirements.
  • Analyze and configure security systems to meet security architecture requirements.
  • Analyze, design, and configure authentication and access systems to meet security architecture requirements

Job Requirements

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience 


  • Minimum of five years of relevant and progressive professional experience
  • Security certification preferred (For e.g. CISSP)
  • Working knowledge of information security tools for intrusion monitoring, filtering, event management, compliance management and vulnerability management
  • Thorough knowledge of industry accepted security architectures
  • Thorough knowledge of authentication and access systems
  • General multi-platform information security knowledge in networks, Windows, Desktops, Servers, AS/400 and application systems including detail expertise in at least one.


  • Possess and have ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • General knowledge of regulatory requirements such as Sabarnes-Oxley, Payment Cards Industry (PCI), Health Information Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), along with US and European data privacy laws
  • Experience in following system information security policies, standards and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities
  • May require travel outside normal work location
