Overview

The Senior Recruiter is responsible for the full-cycle recruiting activities at Tokio Marine HCC, ensuing that top talent is identified and hired for our Corporate and/or field offices. This position will work extremely closely with our hiring managers across TMHCC.

This position will report directly to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor and will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Houston, TX.

Performance Objectives

  • Assume responsibility for various requisitions across multiple departments / business units. Within 48 hours of notification of the opening, meet with the hiring manager and develop an understanding of the position to include, producing a performance profile, possible sources, and timetables to fill the requisition.
  • Within thirty days, be able to utilize Jobvite – Applicant Tracking System to manage the complete recruiting lifecycle. Manage 100% of all recruiting activity within the system while keeping all activity up-to-date in real time.
  • Within fifteen days, be able to access TMHCC’s social media platforms, this includes getting access, following and sharing all related company social media accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in finding exceptional talent in the current climate of deficient unemployment. Must be creative in sourcing options for passive candidates - utilizing a broad set of sourcing approaches.
  • Within your first 6 months of employment conduct an analysis of current sourcing tools and processes and recommend potential changes.
  • Demonstrate success in reducing the cost per hire at a one-year mark by maximizing the use of recruiting tools and limiting the use of recruiting agencies.
  • Reduce new hire failure rate by building a performance profile to ensure candidates meet the criteria developed
  • Focus on candidate experience by building a positive image of the organization

Job Requirements

Experience and Education

  • Experience – Minimum of 5 years of experience with full-cycle recruiting.
  • Educational requirements.  The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in HR or a related field or an equivalent work experience  
  • Ability to build trust and relationships with department heads is essential
  • Optimization of work processes. Knows the most effective and efficient methods to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential material strictly in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
  • Flexibility and a willingness to learn
  • Sound analytical skills, as well as strong decision-making and problem-solving aptitude
  • Must be an exceptional communicator and able to make connections across the organization at all levels.
