Job Description


Senior Travel Administrators are responsible for the successful completion of travel arrangements within company and client guidelines.

Administrators will work closely with the Global Response Center team to create domestic and international travel arrangements including air, hotel and ground transportation; stay informed of current travel requirements; support multiple accounts; adhere to company standards in delivering customer service; provide support for internal technical issues; utilize company preferred providers to maximize efficiency and ensure compliance with travel policy.    



  • Arrange domestic and international travel, including air, hotel, rail and ground transportation.
  • Interact with the Global Response Center and travel arrangers by providing first level support for customer service and resolution of travel problems.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism in all contacts and support for the Company’s vision and mission.
  • Handle problems requiring specific attention and consult with Supervisor as needed.
  • Assist with training and orientation of new team members as requested.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting based upon business and client needs.
  • Take part in self-assessment and goal setting, and work on developmental opportunities as identified.  Share ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in and respond to coaching and development, including feedback and performance assessment.  Voice opinions and idea in a constructive manner. 
  • Stay abreast of company and departmental policies and procedures through staff meetings, department and/or company communications and on-going training.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined by Operational Management and detailed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, varied start times, eves and weekends.
  • Perform additional related responsibilities as requested, including investigation of cases with subsequent written summaries.

Job Requirements

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience


  • Minimum of five years of relevant and progressive professional experience


  • Industry knowledge and reservations skills in order to create multi-segment, multi-destination international and domestic itineraries to include air, rail hotel and ground transportation.

  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of complex international pricing rules and regulations

  • Proficiency in a minimum of one CRS

  • Excellent knowledge of domestic and international geography, routings, fare construction and documentation

  • Understanding of company policies and procedures

  • Proven ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks

  • Able to work independently yet master the balance between team member and junior member of supervisory team

  • Confidence in ability to function in a team environment and develop such among colleagues

  • Professional communication skills - both verbal and written

  • Proven problem solving, time management, and organizational skills

  • Moderate to high level of computer proficiency

  • Proven ability to be flexible in scheduling

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching in a positive manner

  • Possess and have ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy

  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor

  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment

  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
