Job Purpose:

Tokio Marine HCC is part of the 8th largest insurance company worldwide. This role will be based within the Professional Risks Division which offers Professional Indemnity Insurance to a wide range of industries including Architects, Business Consultants, Film & TV, Media and IT professionals.

This is a fast paced , fast growing and extremely high performing division that is looking for someone who is passionate about digital technology. The role will involve working with clients (internal/external) on a daily basis.

Some of the key duties of the role include working with our clients to create user friendly and visually pleasing pages and produce graphics and content for HTML emails. Production of wireframes, prototypes and presentations to help sell ideas and demonstrate concepts to key stakeholders. Implementing changes on the website using HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery. Carrying out adequate testing (including cross-browser) in our staging environment and post-change on the live site. Working with our developers to ensure web changes are carried out.

You will need to ensure that business needs are met by developing, maintaining and supporting business processes and applications. Your responsibilities will cover all aspects of our business operations. An ideal position for someone who is looking for a varied role where they will be stretched and developed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day to day support with a pragmatic approach to our client base (internal and external)
  • Developing and maintaining reports (TSQL/Reporting services)
  • Documenting and reviewing business processes and guidelines
  • Assist the developers with the development and implementation of technical solutions, applying work arounds where appropriate
  • User acceptance testing (Static/Automated)
  • Manage bugs, issues and features with the use of tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)


Job Requirements

Skills and Experience Specification:

  • Query language experience (TSQL)
  • Degree 2:1 or higher (preferred but not limited to business and computing) or 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Attention to detail, well organised and good at record keeping
  • Must have a good customer service ethic and team player.

  • Reporting experience
  • Insurance experience
  • Automated testing tools
  • Development methodologies (e.g. Agile, RAD)
  • Knowledge of E Marketing and E Commerce
