Job Description


This role offers a great opportunity for bright individuals to start their career in insurance. 

Job Purpose: 
To provide underwriting administration to the 5 TMHCC Specialty underwriters and the wider team.

Location: Fitzwilliam House, 10 St Mary's Axe, London EC3A 8BF

Start date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing of new and renewal business
  • Processing of MTA’s and other adjustments
  • Data input onto the underwriting systems
  • Undertaking market / broker research for development purposes
  • Assisting with and preparation for broker meetings / visits
  • Assisting with marketing
  • Visit other offices where needed
  • Underwriting and Claims data manipulation and analysis
  • To identify key performance trends and produce detailed reporting
  • Creation of contracts, binders and wordings
  • Attend account management meetings
  • Ad hoc duties and projects for example organizing corporate entertainment


Job Requirements

Skills and Experience Specification:


  • Educated to A level standard (or equivalent) with GCSE’s (or equivalent) in Math’s and English at grade C or above.
  • Strong computer literacy - Microsoft skills including Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables).
  • Administration, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to organize workload and priorities and happy to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to build good business relationships and work well in a team.
  • Previous office experience would be an advantage.

Previous experience of working within insurance would be desirable but isn't essential.
